Wowwweeeee! 10 Years?! It’s insane that we’re now at a decade of PUNK BLACK. We started out as a series house parties then eventually grew to something more with hard work, tears, blood and a dope ass, beautiful ass, amazing ass community(you). There is absolutely no way we have come this far with out you all, and I personally as well as the rest of the team love you, and thank you(you beautiful motha fucka) for all your support.
At 10 years we’ve decided we want to do more. MUCH more. It’s been a long time coming for PB to take things up a notch and we’re taking this milestone(and violent nudge from Father Time let’s be real here) as a signal to do just that. Our first way is something we’ve wanted to do(again) for a long time, and that’s a seasonal physical/digital ZINE.
If you were in Atlanta back in the day you may have seen one of earlier zines. We had a super short run(4 monthly) and unfortunately could not continue due being short of people, funds, and time in general. Now that we’ve been around a bit longer, we’ve decided to give it another shot, starting with our 10 Year Anniversary Zine to be released this June. This first edition is gonna be fuckin JAM PACKED with all the bad asses on the scene in the last decade that are most certainly a part of history. It’ll be about 22 pages, and will be available as a physical version and a digital version. We’ll be dropping a little sample soon, so stay tuned for that on IG!
Next! The PUNK BLACK Patreon. We decided to start a Patreon to help support PB’s hopes, dreams, and endeavors(especially the new ZINE and touring), while giving our community dope shit and new ways to support us and the bands, cosplayers and artists we rep. We’ve created multiple tiers with different with different rewards, all based around our new Zine. While our Zine will be available online for ppl to purchase, subscribers grab it for mf FREE. Plus, you’ll receive all kind of news, info, and deals on upcoming shows, releases from PB Records and more. Not to mention you’ll be able to support and be involved with your favorite POC ALT platform(us).
