When it comes to being a visual artist in today’s society it’s no joke. You gotta have the drive, skill, and of course be business savvy, among being on top of your social media game.

For Choke (Creating Her Own Kinetic Energy) she has been on the grit and grind since day one. Hailing from the DMV, mainly DC, she’s about that work.

The Puerto Rican & Mexican artisan excels in anything abstract, from astronomy to portraits and more.

Her art and hustle as brought her to Central Florida to Miami, out to Oakland to Ft. Worth, and everywhere in between. Choke has made her wave and it’s about to be even more significant.

Now, with her show titled “A Return To Source” she can fully bloom and enjoy showcasing these new beautiful eye-opening pieces.

A quick introduction to what you will be getting into!

A return to source is a solo exhibition featuring original works, journal entries and contemplations from a 16 year old self chronicled through the present that explores philosophy, physics, astronomy, mysticism, ancient traditional ways of knowing, religious studies, symbolism, and other deeply personal reflections that speak to our innermost query about our origin story.

This 4 day event will be held at the gallery of Marfa Open, located in Marfa, Texas.
