We lost a great man that was heavily in the music, art, and film scene. The wonderful Sacha Jenkins.

I had the privilege of meeting him multiple times, and just choppin’ it up with him. A very sincere, humble, and talented individual. He had been in the game long before I met him, and was a mastermind behind scenes, had a dope visual eye, and a beast of a musician.

I first met Sacha along with Honeychild and Biz in 2017, where they were playing Afro Punk in Brooklyn. Their punk band The 1865 was dope! After their set I walked up to Honeychild, we chatted, and she introduced me to Sacha and Biz.

Years later we would connect and talk up Hip-Hop, film making, and being black making punk rock. When he spoke, I listened, especially being my elder in the scene & business.
May he rest easy and my heart goes out to his family & friends, and band mates, Honeychild, Flora, and Biz. Love yall
