One Last PUNK BLACK To Rule Them All in Tampa

Based in Atlanta and New Orleans, we at Punk Black have always loved traveling and throwing events outside our respective cities.

When it comes to Florida, we’ve brought Punk Black shows to Jacksonville, Melbourne, Miami, and of course Tampa.

Tampa has always felt like home, and the venue Crowbar in Ybor City is a staple and has always over poured us with love. This will be our last and 3rd installment of PB in Tampa, specifically, the legendary pulse of the scene that is Crowbar.

Unfortunately after 20 years, Crowbar will be closing its doors on July 31st, due to inflation, gentrification, development rise of property costs, but also secondary ticketing sites, predatory ticketing sites such as Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

We’ve enjoyed each and every time working with the establishment and the owner Tom. The last 2 Punk Blacks were more than successful, the crowd came out, the support was on fire, and the bands killed it!

Even though we are called Punk Black, we have all types of genres performing at our events. From hardcore punk to indie rock, death metal to dark wave, and so much more. There’s definitely a little of something for everyone is you decide to slide through and support these black & brown bands.

To end off Black History Month, on February 28th, we’ll have Fesssi K kickin’ off the Tampa Punk Black fest on the outdoor stage, and Pilot Jonezz closing the night out on the inside stage. In between will be a plethora of kick ass bands for everyone to enjoy. We love the Tampa love, we love Ybor city, we love Crowbar. Hope to see you all there!
