PB Columbus Gave Us Amazing Bands, a Legendary Venue, and Dope Memories

/

For Punk Black’s first time in Columbus, Ohio it was something special. A sold out show at the legendary underground DIY venue Dirty Dungarees. A space that is part forum, neighborhood bar, and laundry mat. So beyond people coming for specific shows, you’ll get a whole cross pollination of community. (photos by @sean_leephotograpgy)

The crowd was already thick as Kali Dreamer kicked things off. The goth rock sounds and smooth vocals is evident, even through some technical difficulties occurred. Kali muscled through and the crowd cheered on with 100% participation of hand claps, dancing, and chorus chanting.

Heavy pop punk go-getters Still Tired came in swinging. Sick breakdowns, groovy baselines, catchy hooks, and shredding riffs will have you boogying or moshing all night.

Being Hvman had nonstop energy from the beginning of their set til the very end. Some of the biggest movers & shakers hit the floor for a cataclysmic event in the pit.

Uniity came through and brought a mix of punk, industrial, and rap to the stage. Standing at 5 foot nothing with screams high as a skyscraper, her aura is unstoppable.

Hardcore/metalcore baddies Love Trauma opened their set speaking on situations in the scene, along with a heartfelt background story. Slammin into their set of madness with double bass pounding, guitars rippin and venue on full turn up mode.

Headlining Punk Black Columbus were Regalia. A swirling tornado of old school and new wave hardcore straight from the soul. When they go on, it’s  an ‘all lights on’ show with undeniable energy. It’s great to see the 614 scene alive and kickin’!
