2 years, give or take. I asked a buddy to edit a photo of me and a friend in cosplay, and he did such a great job it inspired me to try making my own. ![]()
Yes. I always loved taking pictures, then in high school, I took a class In photography and won an award for my pictures at the school’s annual art show. In college, I went on to study graphic design and photography but didn’t really do anything with it until a couple of years ago. A few months before my daughter was born I had all this nervous energy. I focused it into going to whatever remaining cons I could before the due date, and editing cosplay photos I took on my phone. All my work is done on my phone. ![]()
Berserk, One Punch Man, and Castlevania. ![]()
My favorite con to shoot at is BlerdCon. The sense of community, amazing and creative cosplays and mind-blowing content make this make favorite con. I’ve gone to it every year since it started.
Yes, but too many to name! ![]()
My favorite cosplays to do are Two-Face and Spider-Man Noir. I haven’t cosplayed in a long time because I’ve focused more on being behind the camera than in front, but I plan to do it again. ![]()
Batman (1989) and Black Panther. I saw Batman when I was 7 and after probably 100+ viewings I never get tired of it. And no matter how many Batman movies come out, or how good they’ll be, this one will always be #1 for me. Black Panther is just perfection. I can’t express how important it was for me to see that level of black representation in a critically acclaimed blockbuster. I believe it will go down in history as one of the most influential comic book movies ever. Sequels and spin-offs now, please!
I’m always trying to improve by collaborating with new cosplayers, photographers, and artists. Almost every day I devote at least a little time to working on photography projects. The best practice for me is studying the work of those who have much more experience and resources than I do. I can then force myself to think of new ways to make the most of what recourses I have. I hope to one day be able to afford a computer and software needed to elevate my work beyond what I’m doing on my phone. Until then I’ll keep trying to squeeze what I can from the limited photography apps I currently have access to on my iPhone. ![]()
I love both but Trek is life. I even have a huge Klingon symbol tattooed on my back. I love the classics but I’m super hyped on the new Treks. Not the JJ Abrams movies, but the new CBS All Access shows. If they were on a more popular streaming service way more pore people would be watching them. I can’t wait for the next season of Discovery and Picard!! |
